Welcome! I'm Dr. Anitza San Miguel. A certified coach, scientist, wife, mother, and passionate about reigniting potential and leading from the heart.

My life's mission is to guide leaders like you on a transformative journey of discovering, developing, and maximizing your true potential.

In a world where women are often expected to juggle everything flawlessly, we sometimes find ourselves breaking everything but the glass ceiling. The key to success isn't about achieving perfect balance—it's about finding harmony in what truly matters most.

MY JOURNEY

From Academia to Empowerment


Growing up in Puerto Rico with parents who never attended college, I didn't have many professional scientists to look up to. But in my heart, I knew that becoming a scientist was part of my grand search for meaning in life. Inspired by my middle school teacher who proclaimed, "Science is fun!" I found my passion for the field early on.

While I once dreamt of becoming a neurosurgeon, God revealed a different path for me. With the support of incredible mentors, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, quickly rising to the top of my class and earning an internship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). My love for science led me to obtain a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University.

However, the journey was not without challenges. As the only Latina in my group, I constantly faced stereotypes and skepticism, pushing me to prove myself repeatedly. Through these experiences, I discovered a new passion: helping others grow. This led me to pursue a doctorate in Higher Education Administration while working full-time, merging my love for science and education.

My professional life took another turn when I realized I wasn't as happy as I could be despite my achievements. A full-blown panic attack made me step back and reevaluate my life. I left my full-time job to focus on my family and education. After earning my doctorate and becoming a faculty member at Northern Virginia Community College, I faced new challenges and felt like an imposter.

I served as the Dean of Science at Valencia College, bringing nearly eight years of dedicated leadership to the institution. Throughout my tenure, I championed academic innovation and supported faculty in adopting effective teaching practices, strengthening Valencia College's commitment to quality science education.

It was during this period of reflection and growth that my true purpose crystallized. I realized that my greatest passion was adding value to others' lives by helping them discover, develop, and maximize their potential. Mentors and coaches played a crucial role in my journey, asking me the hard questions that heightened my awareness and guided me toward my true calling.

Now, as a full-time business owner, I’m dedicated to coaching others on their journey to finding the answers they seek. My experiences have taught me that your job does not define you. Are you ready?

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, and a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from George Washington University. I also hold a certificate from The John Maxwell Team and am a certified coach, speaker, and trainer.
